That time of the week again (woah). Who has something for Monday's update?

I was thinking of calling out a community or two, or interesting people who could use some more readers? Does anybody have any suggestions? (I'll contact them before putting them in the post, of course.)

Support's been working hard on getting some documentation in place for what we do. Rho updated a metric ton of FAQs this weekend, so if people are bored, they might want to take a browse through and learn something new! FAQ 179 is brand new, as is 180.

There is a proto-code tour up in dw_lounge that is current up until yesterday, though it needs someone who knows wtf is going on to look at it.

As you know, omnomnom is running a contest for autumn-appropriate recipes. Prize is 2 months paid time. Link here: http://omnomnom.dreamwidth.org/30667.html (We have journal search! You can search for recipes!!)

I'd also suggest the_dw_herald and maybe dreamscapes as potentials. :)

One of my friends, scatmania, made a tool to pull locked posts from LJ and put them in Google Reader, and it also works with Dreamwidth - currently experimentally, but works it does.

I'll be honest, now that I've read up on that, it really scares me. If LJ blocked it, we might want to as well...

I'd be interested in talking to this guy about how it works, and how he handles security. Do you think he'd mind out of the blue contact?

I doubt he'd mind at all - he invites comments and has a contact form on his website. Or, if you prefer, I can check with him tomorrow to make sure he's okay with me giving you his personal email, or ask him to drop you a message.

yvi is recommending a community every day in October. I'm also always surprised by the number of people who don't know about dw_community_promo.

There's also the current debate in dw_suggestions about the frequency of news posts.

Have we ever mentioned sticky entries? I have no idea when the next code push will be, but it might be good to mention that there will be a new setting after it?

Not sure about which other patches could be mentioned. Or should patches get mentioned after the code-push? I am never sure about these things :)
